Seabrook

The barrier island of Seabrook is the “secret sister” of renowned Kiawah; paramount beauty, unmatched by anything other than Mother Nature herself. This vibrant, private community is encompassed by the natural settings of the coastline; seagrass bundles billow up the dunes, fiddler crabs scurry over the sand, pelicans plunge & gulls glide the waters, and wildlife finds harmony among residents. While smaller in scale to Kiawah, Seabrook Island still offers the same island luxuries and activities for vacationers but at seemingly more relaxing pace. All guests have full access to the Lake House – the ‘social hub’ of Seabrook – where they’ll find a state-of-the-art fitness facility, an indoor lap pool, an outdoor leisure pool with kids ‘Splash Zone’ and adjacent playground. Guests are welcome to partake in Seabrook’s exclusive Equestrian Center, interact with the horses, watch riding and jumping exhibits and even take a guided horseback Beach Trail stroll along the shoreline.

Seabrook also offers separate activities for the kids of the group, thus allowing the adults a bit more leisure time of their own. Each summer, Seabrook hosts Camp Seabrook; a daily or weekly camp for children ages 4-11, giving them a fun, safe & educational environment in which to explore the island. Activities include island nature excursions, pony rides, crab fishing, culinary classes, athletics & pool fun, and much, much more. Seabrook also plays host to an array of indoor & outdoor dining and shopping options. Within the gate is Bohickets Lounge & Seaview Terrace, a relaxed dining atmosphere serving upscale Southern cuisine; The Palmetto Room, a formal dining environment boasting sweeping views of the ocean and fresh/local seafood and seasonal dishes; The Pelican’s Nest, a casual, poolside, al fresco dining experience. A short ride from the front gate is Bohicket Marina & Market- a waterfront dining & shopping community. Restaurants include Red’s Ice House, Fischer’s Pub, and Rosebank Farms Cafe; all offering a different spin on traditional southern plates. And don’t forget to swing by the Ice Cream Boat for a cool summer treat before strolling along the shops to find unique southern treasures. With so much to see and do, why not make Seabrook Island your next vacation destination?
